Ilka and Mateus got married in 2007 in Brazil, where they live. A decade later they decided to renew their vows. This time though they had two very special guests: their two adorable children! Their daughter Pietra and their son Otávio were so excited to be part of mom and dad vow renewal. This vow renewal was about love and, most of all, family!
Portugal was the perfect place to have this celebration. Ilka and Mateus love wine, food, and the Portuguese dreamy and romantic landscape. They invited 31 friends from Brazil to share this experience. The chosen place for this party was Torre de Palma, in Alentejo. Never underestimate the power of Alentejo! Since Ilka and Mateus are wine enthusiasts, Torre de Palma was the right venue for their vow renewal. There you can experience the winemaking process, it’s actually a wine hotel! How cool is that?
Alentejo has a way of always making you feel welcomed. It is warm, cozy and simple!
The day was magic, intimate and incredibly emotional. I really wanted to capture the feel and atmosphere of this vow renewal in a way that truly transmitted the aura of this family.
A vow renewal is about reinforcing your bond and making your better-half know that you are still madly in love! Looking at the photographs, it is clear that these two lovebirds are in awe of each other.
Everything about this vow renewal was perfection! Ilka and Mateus put a lot of effort into their vow renewal. Every detail was spot on! The Macramé art, the amazing dress that Ilka wore, the decoration, the food. I mean… Everything!
