This destination wedding was a two-day celebration and this couple, Nazli and Onur, wanted to make the best of it!
It was definitely a memorable destination wedding in Portugal. This happy couple came from the other side of the continent, from beautiful Turkey.
The party started the day before the wedding. For this boho style party, they decided on an intimate dinner for close friends and family at Hotel Areias do Seixo. This is one of the most special venues I’ve ever been to. Close to the Atlantic Ocean, it has a great natural vibe. This two-day celebration was starting in the best way possible.
The guests could eat some snacks by the fireplace, the atmosphere was very boho with a gypsy touch. Later, everyone had dinner in a greenhouse surrounded by nature, so much so that it seemed like we were outdoors! The dinner had a Portuguese vibe, with Fado (nostalgic Portuguese music) echoing in the room. The tone was set for a great comfortable evening.
The next day the preparation of both Nazli and Onur was done on the same hotel where they also had the first look.
The symbolic ceremony was celebrated by the best man of the groom, in the middle of a landscape surrounded by vineyards in Quinta de Sant’Ana.
The boho feel was always present. The guests had stacks of hay for chairs and nature was definitely the décor item of choice for this celebration. Simplicity was the key for this one, really letting the natural elements of Quinta de Sant’ana shine through.
One of the most memorable moments came after the ceremony when the Balkan-inspired band managed to get all the guests – from 8 to 80 years old – to dance. This is one of the greatest things about weddings: happy people and emotions running high!
The wedding decoration was inspired by Portuguese tradition. The building itself screams Portugal, so being that there are vineyards all around, the table centers had grapes. They looked like authentic Renaissance paintings of still life. The mood was relaxed and the entire day was fun and full of life!
Nazli and Onur decided to award their guests with several gifts of Portuguese inspiration. One of such gifts was a box of cookies decorated with the famous Portuguese tiles.
By this time, the night was coming to end a day that Nazli and Onur will forever have in their hearts. Their two-day destination wedding was coming to a close.
The bride and groom brought the DJ from Turkey and the party ended in great style. A perfect finale for an amazing celebration.
