Eric and Patrick’s wedding in São Lourenço do Barrocal made my heart sparkle with joy for numerous reasons.
I love Alentejo when I was 8 years old, my parents bought a holiday house in Alentejo and since then I felt that I had a part of my heart in Alentejo, I even speak “Alentejano” when I came back from my big holidays.
I’m in love with São Lourenço do Barrocal, if I have to choose a place to get married in Portugal it would be in the top 3.
Because I love weddings especially same-sex and intimate weddings.
And because I have a great passion for architecture and this hotel was designed by Souto Moura (a Portuguese architect I admire a lot) and it was with this hotel that he won the grand prize for architecture, the Golden Lion at the International Architecture Biennale of Venice.
This wedding is the proof that rain never spoils a wedding because after the rain an incredible rainbow appeared that gave me one of my favorite photos until today. How perfect is it in a same-sex wedding to see a rainbow? I’m so lucky!
