A Picturesque Civil Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the historic Abbey of San Galgano in Monticiano. The setting was nothing short of magical, with the ancient ruins providing a breathtaking backdrop for Anna and Tom’s vows. This site also holds a special place in cinematic history as the filming location for Andrei Tarkovsky’s masterpiece, Nostalgia (on of my fav films). Being there, surrounded by the evocative remnants of the past and the whispers of cinematic artistry, added a profound layer of beauty and significance to the ceremony.
An Enchanting Tuscan Dinner
Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at Villa Podernovo in Siena. This charming villa, nestled in the heart of Tuscany, offered a picturesque setting for the evening’s festivities. The warmth and hospitality extended to me by Anna and Tom were extraordinary. I was honored to be seated next to the groom during dinner, and their kind gesture of serving me wine during the cocktail hour made me feel like a cherished guest. I usually have this feeling at almost all of my weddings, that’s why I love intimate weddings! I feel like I’m a guest!
