Susana is Portuguese and Stef is from exotic Mauritius.
While in Dublin, their paths crossed while they worked at Google. At that time Susana wasn´t searching for a boyfriend and didn’t seem to keen on the idea. The thing is that Stef was already head over heels for her. In no time, she couldn’t resist anymore and they became girlfriend and boyfriend. This is what I call a true transcontinental love story!
Being that Susana is from the Algarve, they decided to have their wedding there.
They had their ceremony at Estoi Main Church. It was an emotional moment and Susana had to wipe the tears from her face, as Stef read her his vows.
Then the party moved on to one of the greatest venues in the Algarve. Now a hotel, this amazing house is, in fact, a palace! It’s a great example of the rococo style. The indoors are sumptuous and very adorned. In the gardens, there are statues everywhere and gorgeous tiles in white and blue.
Susana and her bridesmaids looked really beautiful and fresh. Above all, it was noticeable that they were having a lot of fun! Stef was so cool looking!
This wedding at Palácio de Estoi was based on simplicity. Natural elements were brought in for the decoration and dinner was served on a long table in the garden. Very rustic looking, with beautiful leaves in the table center.
Everybody was happy and having fun. Susana and Stef looked laidback and carefree.
Being so in love with food as I am, one of my favorites things about this wedding was a cake made of cheese that the couple made. No, I’m not talking about cheesecake here. It was really a stack of cheeses, laying on top of one another! Yummy!
After all the amazing food, it was time to get the party started. Susana from Portugal and Stef from Mauritius opened the dancefloor! And they danced hard!
It was a great day for them, and I am glad I got to be a part of it.
